Maija is in bed. She’s anxious. It’s that time of the week when she has to perform the act of marital sex. On the other side of the town, a soon-to-retire working man Matti, is also anxious: everybody is expecting him to be jolly and cheerful, which is driving him to despair. They both need a change. Can they help each other?
The film premiered at Clermont Ferrand in the International Competition in 2021. Since its debut, Nesting has competed in multiple festivals and was nominated for Best Short Film in the Finnish Academy Awards (Jussi-palkinto).
